EHA Statement on Juniors Playing in Adult Hockey
You will be aware that England Hockey undertook a survey with clubs on the Single System recommendation regarding juniors playing in open adult leagues in March/April 2007. The England Hockey Board considered a detailed report on the survey findings at its meeting on 8 May 2007. Subsequently an interim statement was posted to the England Hockey website on 11 May advising that the Board’s decisions would be issued on 31 May 2007.

The Board would once again like to record its thanks to all clubs who took the trouble to return the survey, which played an important role in influencing key decisions. Thanks are also extended to those individuals who had previously contributed to the survey’s development.
This statement is being distributed widely by email to key contacts and will also be included in the next edition of EH News which will be circulated to clubs in late June/early July. Please feel free to assist this distribution process by forwarding this information as appropriate.

Derbyshire Girls at Commonwealth Games
Ann Morgan, our President, returned from the Commonwealth Games in Delhi where her daughter was playing hockey and Georgie Twigg (aged19) scored the goal to win England women the bronze medal. Both have played all their junior hockey in Derbyshire and played for the county through all the age groups.
Peter Danson is part of the England Gold Medal Winning Squad in South Africa
